CHOOSING A YOGA CLASS
To choose the right yoga class for you think about what you want from a class & consider your experience/ level. For example Hatha is great for beginners & for more experienced yoga students you might want to try Ashtanga Vinyasa flow. Here a my current classes I teach in North Berwick.
ASHTANGA VINYASA FLOW-
This class is a fusion of Ashtanga, Hatha and Vinyasa flow. It’s designed to balance the masculine and feminine energies of the body, unifying duality, the body, the mind and soul through movement and breath. It is a dynamic class and the perfect practice to cultivate a balance of asana and spiritual practice. It will stretch, strengthen, energise and relax you.
BEGINNERS CLASSICAL HATHA YOGA -
Ha= Sun Ta = Moon. Hatha Yoga is an ancient yoga system which combines fundamental poses with breath work designed to untie the male/female and sun and moon’s energies to ultimately prepare the body for meditation. In this class I will be singing traditional yoga Mantras whilst you practice and is the perfect class to gently learn yoga whilst strengthening, stretching and balancing the mind, body and soul.
CHANDRA NAMASKAR YOGA - (MOON SALUTATIONS YOGA)
This is a beautiful evening class designed to ultimately promote relaxation and to honour our divine feminine energy within us all- Ida Nadi. The practice includes slow gentle moon salutations where I sing sacred mantras to help support your practice. After our standing & seated poses we will practice some calming breath work, a cooling pitta stress reducing meditation and to finish a relaxing yoga nidra to promote deep sleep.
YIN YOGA
Come for a mid week reset & deep stretch with yin yoga for relaxation. In this practice we hold yoga poses for longer periods of time with the aid of props. It’s a wonderfully gentle way to work deep into the connective tissue to release and let go of tension and stress.
PREGNANCY YOGA
This is a class will help strengthen and relax your body and help prepare your mind, body and soul for your pregnancy, labour and journey as a mother.
