Porridge with soaked raisons & almonds

A small bowl of porridge with blanched almonds and spice on top

In Ayurveda we aim to eat sattvic foods especially when we are on a cleanse. A sattvic diet includes foods that are vegetarian, light, soothing and easy to digest (alkaline and anti-inflammatory foods), we believe these foods increase energy, strengthen the immune system and help regulate our digestive fire. This simple recipe is sattvic in nature and is very soothing and nourishing.
